The Billy Stud is a joint venture between William Funnell and Donal Barnwell, together they have developed a successful breeding program for the production of homebred British sports horses.
The stud is not only looking to cater for the elite horses and riders, as they have many young horses with the potential to excel in all areas of the sport.
The core of the breeding programme is to produce top class jumpers, however it is Donal and Williams belief that modern top class jumpers, need the thoroughbred influence as well as the quality, to become top class jumpers.
Irish brood mares are crossed with Continental stallions selected for their absolute proven jumping ability as well as correctness of confirmation, range, scope and temperament.
We held a viewing day at Jordans Farm on the 3rd of April 2018 for anyone to come along and see our stallions at stud. It was an opportunity to view our 7 stallions in action before making your choice for your mare this year. We also be showed some of the stallion’s well-known offspring and some of their up and coming stars.
Our stallions for 2018;
Billy Congo (Vechta x Animo)
Cevin Z (Coriall x Carthago Z)
Billy Tudor (Ceivn Z x Andiamo)
Billy Du Montois (Cevin Z x Abdullah)
