Last week William headed to the David Broome Equestrian Center with Billy Marmite, Billy Etna and Billy Shuffle for the Chepstow CSI2*. It was a good weekend as he picked up a placing on each horse, the highlight being a top 10 finished with Billy Etna in the Medium Tour Grand Prix on Sunday.
It was also a very successful show for many other Billy horses with lots of placings, from the likes of Billy Hudson in the 6yos to Billy Tamrac and Billy Lyssa in the 5yos and Billy K2, Billy Papadopolous, Billy Paddington, Billy Fern all in 1* classes, and Billy Picadilly in the 2* big classes.
Lucy and Lottie decided to have a jump on the grass ahead of the Hickstead September Tour at the Edenbridge & Oxted County Show. This paid off with Lucy placing 3rd in the 1.30m on Billy Fu and Lottie finished 4th in the Area Trial on Billy Diamo. It’s so great to have the opportunity to jump in nice grass arenas as we don’t see so many of them these days, and the exposure to the crowds can be very educational for less experienced horses.
We now look forward to two weeks at Hickstead with horses ranging from 5YOs up to 1.40ms.
