
We’ve had an extremely busy couple of months here at the Billy Stud to say the least! Here is a round up of what we have been up to….

The South of England Show
- Billy Olive – 2nd in the 1.35m
- Billy Spiral – 2nd and 4th in the Foxhunter
- Billy Bejing – 1st in the Foxhunter
- Billy Amber – 5th in the 1.40m
- Billy Angelette – jumped a lovey double clear in the HOYS grade C qualifier, finishing 7th.
Bolesworth International Horse Show
Hamad Ali Al Kirbi won the 2* 1.40m jump off class.
Al Shira’aa team rider Hamad and his horses are now based at the The Billy Stud whilst training with William Funnell. What a way to start with a fantastic win on Uxmal D’ysieux!
The Al Shira’aa Hickstead Derby Meeting
- Billy Olive started us off to a great start with a lovely clear in the 1.35m championship on the Thursday with Lucy Townley onboard.
- Billy Buckingham jumped a fantastic clear for 5th place in the Derby trial.
- Jane Annet and her two Billy stallions – Tudor & Du Montois both jumped lovely clears in the 7&8 year old qualifier.
- Kate Pheasant and her own Billy Mistletoe jumped a great clear and placed in the 5 year olds.
- Danah Zaman and Billy Anna finished in 11th place out of 131 starters in the Harcour Amateur championship on the Friday.

BILLY BUCKINGHAM WON THE AL SHIRA’AA HICKSTEAD DERBY!! William Funnell and the chestnut gelding jumped two rounds to be named winners of the famous class, click here to read more.
Billy Buckingham
Knokke
- William and Billy McCain clear and 4th in the Speed World Ranking 1.50m class, out of 94 starters.
Billy McCain - Darragh Kenny and 8 year old Billy Manjaro won the 1.40m 3*
- Jane Annett and her own Billy Tudor and Billy Du Montois both jumped super clears in the 7 . year old final.
- Julie Slade and Billy Gogo, 2nd in the 1*.
- Pippa and Billy Congo 8th in the 1.45m speed class.

Kent County Show
- Billy Tenesse had a great couple of days and finished 6th in the 1.30m and 8th in the 1.40m.
- Billy Amber – 5th in the 1.40m accumulator with Lucy Townley onboard.
Pyecombe
- We headed to our local venue in the aim to qualify a few more horses for HOYS;
Billy Galleon and Luke Hill jumped a very neat triple clear to win the HOYS Newcomers second round. - Billy Quids in piloted by Josh Hutchins jumped a triple clear in the Foxhunter regional qualifier to finish 4th and landed a ticket for the Foxhunter masters at the National Championships at Stoneleigh in August.
- Billy Tennesse and Lucy Townley also jumped an impressive triple clear in the Foxhunter second rounds and finished 3rd, just one place off qualifying for HOYS but also secured a ticket to the National Championships.
- Kate Pheasant and her own Billy Mistletoe were 6th in the 5 year old grand prix and jumped a lovely double clear with Billy Bon soir in the 1.30m.
