Billy Angelo (Tangelo van de Zuuthoeve) and William jumped the CSI 4* speed class on Saturday 30th December, a strong class of 32 riders. The pair flew round the course to finish with a lovely clear and landed in 7th place!
On the Sunday they entered the speed class again and jumped a very quick and clear round. The class was stopped due to the fire in the carpark and the last three to go were unable to compete.
Angelo was placed 3rd, with his time just under a second slower than the winner – Sanne Thijssen and just 0.40 of a second behind Shane Breen in second.
Although William and Angelo were unable to canter their lap of honour and stand on the podium, Angelo received some well earned attention by many of the Liverpool public whilst being held in the arena that evening! Thank you to our helpers from the shetland pony grand national who helped Will and Zoe hold the three horses during the fire and evacuation process which lasted nearly 3 hours!
All horses and riders got home safely, seeing in the New Year on the road!
